How Does SMP Work?

This is a non- invasive procedure done to create the illusion of hair follicles on the bald /thinning scalp. It is like a tattoo but done by qualified doctors. In this specialized pigments are applied to the dermis of the scalp with sterile micro needles creating tiny dots resembling hair follicles.
Recipient Area Preparation: Tiny incisions are made in the recipient area to create a natural-looking hairline and optimal hair density.
Follicle Implantation: The harvested follicles are implanted into the prepared area with precision to match the natural direction and growth pattern of your existing hair.
Healing and Recovery: The donor and recipient areas heal quickly, and new hair growth begins in a few months.

It mimics natural look of hair with varying sizes, angles and depths of the dots. Most individuals requires 2-3 sessions which are spaced at 4-8 weeks intervals to completely cover the bald area.

The SMP can be done for the entire bald scalp. It can be done in both men and women in thinning areas of the scalp and in scar areas

SMP is a semi permanent procedure. The pigments fade over time of 2-3 years (individualized) and touch up sessions may be needed.
